Initially, a contractor seeking this badge should have already earned GAF’S Master Elite™ status. This ensures the capability and trustworthiness of the product installer. Before being admitted into the program, willing contractors should pass a written examination and complete a Sustainability Assessment. As a condition of membership, they must commit to recycling shingles if it is allowed in their state. They also need to join their local chapter of U.S. Green Building Council.
